Tickets: $54 per person including show ticket, all fees, and networking food (this is a 20% discount on the regular ‘ticket plus fees’ price!) Applies to this event show date only. Parking is free. 

 

To purchase tickets, it’s a little complicated so follow these steps:

  • Go to northcoastrep.org and click on “BUY TICKETS” (doesn’t have to be under the Pippin show.) Leave ‘Search for an event’ empty and just put IVYPLUS in the presale access code line and click the green “Add Code” button. This will take you directly to the Pippin August 10th show page. Click on the blue “Buy” button. 
  • Fill in the number of tickets you want and click “Choose your seats”  Select your seats on the seat map and click on the blue “Pick Selected Seats” button. The seat numbers will show below (don’t worry about the ticket price shown as the discount will be automatically applied on the next page.) Click on the blue “Buy Tickets Shown” button. 
  • On the next page click on the blue “Checkout & Pay” button under the ticket(s) list with the $54 pricing. (You may be asked to set up an account and create a password. Follow the prompts and then you’ll get back to the payment info pages.) Put in your credit card info and please put your school name in the “Comment” section. Note: For Delivery Method, you can pick any method shown and we will have a copy of your tickets at the registration desk for you. 
  • Follow the rest of the prompts and click on the blue “Charge My Card Now” button. That should be it. 

 

If you have any trouble with the above you can call the Box Office at 858-481-1055 any day between noon and 4 pm and mention the IVYPLUS promotion.

 

 

Schedule Details 

When you arrive, check-in at the event registration table to pick up your tickets. (NOTE: This is a small intimate 200-seat theatre and we have a set number of tickets that could sell out.) Walk-ins on the day of the show who need to buy a ticket will have to go to the box office.

6:30 pm - Social networking with charcuterie and dessert included. Beverages: Wine is $10, Beer is $8 and non-alcoholic is $3. 

7:15 pm - David Ellenstein, NCR artistic director will give a short talk and then Marc Tayer, NCR board president, will answer any additional questions.

7:45 pm - Doors open for the 8 pm performance.

ABOUT DAVID ELLENSTEIN

Born into a theatrical family, David Ellenstein has worked in theatres across the country. Since 2003, David has been the Artistic Director of North Coast Repertory Theatre in Solana Beach, CA. He is the former Artistic Director of Los Angeles Repertory Company and Arizona Jewish Theatre. A veteran of over 300 theatrical productions, he has worked at theatres across the country for nearly five decades, including Coconut Grove Playhouse, Paper Mill Playhouse, Alabama, Great Lakes, and California Shakespeare Festivals, Portland Stage, 59E59, The Meadowbrook Theatre, Colony Theatre, and Laguna Playhouse.

Among the more than 60 productions that David has directed at North Coast Rep, favorites include The Remarkable Mister Holmes, which he co-authored, An Iliad, Dr. Glas (Streaming), Becoming Cuba (World Premiere), The Father (West Coast Premiere), Travels with My Aunt, 

Words by Ira Gershwin (World Premiere), Freud’s Last SessionBecoming Dr. Ruth and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

At other venues memorable productions include The Glass Menagerie (Alabama Shakespeare), A Shayna Maidel (Gaslamp Quarter Theatre), The Chosen (Papermill Playhouse, The Coconut Grove Playhouse), Long Day’s Journey Into Night (Renaissance Theatre), Conversations with My Father (Portland Repertory Theatre), Cyrano de Bergerac (Southwest Theatre Company), Chapatti, and Alexandros (Laguna Playhouse).
