No. 16 Harvard Men's Tennis, led by Andrew Rueb '95, The Scott Mead '77 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Tennis, will travel to Southern California March 13 through March 19 during their spring road trip. First, Harvard will play in San Diego and La Jolla on March 13. After some days of practice and rest, Harvard will compete in the annual Ed Collins Spring Classic in San Diego from March 17 to March 19.
The Crimson won the Ivy League title last year, finishing last season with an overall record of 19-5, a final national ranking of No. 16, and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA tournament losing by the narrowest of margins to Stanford in the final tie-breaker match.
In the final ITA Collegiate Tennis rankings in singles and doubles of the fall season, the Crimson were represented by three singles players, and one doubles pairing. Team captain Henry von der Schulenburg led the way at No. 22 followed by fellow captain Harris Walker at No. 46, first-year Marc Ktiri at No. 105 and the duo of Daniel Milavsky and Ronan Jachuck at No. 40 in the double's standings. Harvard is poised for another strong spring season following a fall that saw 15 wins over ranked opponents and 11 qualifiers for ITA Super Regionals. Ultimately, the Crimson finished the fall with 87 singles wins and 23 doubles wins.
