Public health triumphs have led to increases in life expectancy of as much as 30 years in many parts of the world. Yet, behavioral and environmental changes could cause cancer incidences to rise as much as 57 percent over the next two decades. Current research suggests that almost half of all cancer cases are preventable and that early detection has the greatest potential to save lives.
The Zhu Family Center for Global Cancer Prevention, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, is proud to present “Game Changer: Intercepting Cancer.” Please join us on February 4, World Cancer Day 2021, for a live event moderated by FOX Sports Senior Correspondent Pam Oliver and featuring four-time Olympian and breast cancer survivor Chaunté Lowe; basketball Hall of Famer and humanitarian Dikembe Mutombo; and cancer patient and coach of the Washington Football Team Ron Rivera. An hour filled with personal stories and the necessity of early detection screenings, access to quality treatment, and survivorship.
