They're Leaving the Left Coast -- and so excited!
HCSD Hosted the Sixth Annual Leaving Left Coast Picnic to extend a warm welcome to the newest members of our local Harvard community
On Saturday, August 9th, the Harvard Club of San Diego hosted its 6th annual Leaving Left Coast picnic. The weather started out warm and sunny, and then thankfully, overcast skies moved in to offer relief from the heat.
About 50 folks came out to Crown Point on Mission Bay to enjoy the casual beach party to celebrate the last hurrah of summer before the students head back to Cambridge over the next few weeks. Rising freshmen brought their families to meet with recent grads and get some last minute questions answered. From “What was your favorite class at Harvard?” to “Where is the best place to get Mexican food in Cambridge?” to “Where and when should we get our winter coats?” – our recent grads shared their advice and expertise. The only thing missing this year was the current undergraduate presence – hopefully we will be able to get a better current student turnout next year.
