Can there be too much of a good thing? Yes—if it’s not gathered and distributed to those in need.
Join us as we harvest over-abundant residential fruit that would otherwise be abandoned or wasted. With Harvest C.R.O.P.S. we will pick seasonal fruit that is delivered to low-income families and seniors in the San Diego area.
Who: Harvard Alumni & their families. Children of all ages welcome with adult supervision!
When: Saturday, July 20, 2013 (meet at 9:45am, finish by noon)
Where: We meet at the McDonald's parking lot, just off I-5 in Del Mar (2705 Via de la Valle, Del Mar, CA 92014). We will be picking fruit in Rancho Santa Fe.
Water and snacks will be provided. Please plan on sunscreen, sunglasses and hats as it might be hot...
