A Conversation with Tom Miller, Co-Founder & CEO of Iambic Therapeutics, Oxford PhD '05 & former Caltech Professor of Chemistry
Please join the MIT Clubs of San Diego and Southern California, the Caltech Alumni Association, and the San Diego Ivy+ Clubs as we welcome Tom Miller, co-founder and CEO of Iambic Therapeutics, a clinical-stage AI biotech developing novel medicines using its AI-driven platform. Tom will tell us a bit about his path through academia to entrepreneurship and delve into the science behind Iambic's product development.
Tom Miller, Ph.D., is a scientist and entrepreneur with a focus on the nexus of AI, chemistry, and biology. Since 2020, he has served as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Iambic Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company that is disrupting the therapeutics landscape with a unique, AI-driven, drug-discovery platform. Prior to this, he served over 10 years as a professor at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), receiving tenure, publishing over 140 peer-reviewed articles and patents, and receiving numerous awards for research and entrepreneurial excellence. Dr. Miller currently serves as a member of the board of directors at Veracyte. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
