Our friends at the Harvard Club of Seattle invite Harvard Club of San Diego alumni and members to join a virtual presentation and discussion with Professor Karen Dynan, Professor of the Practice in the Department of Economics at Harvard University and former Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Inflation, interest rates, tariffs, and financial uncertainty dominate the headlines—but what deeper forces are shaping the global economy, and where might they lead?

In this timely presentation, Professor Dynan will explore the current global economic landscape, with a focus on how recent policies and legislation regarding immigration, trade, debt, and other factors are affecting both domestic and international markets. She will examine the ripple effects of these changes, from rising uncertainty and its impact on business investment and consumer confidence to the broader consequences for global growth.

Her talk will touch on several critical themes, including how U.S. policy is influencing inflation and unemployment, the challenges central banks face as they respond to ongoing volatility, and what the future may hold for global economies amid continued policy uncertainty.

Drawing on her experience at the highest levels of academia and government, Dynan will offer critical insights into how today's economic challenges connect.
