JUNE HIKE - LOS PENASQUITOS CANYON TRAIL
Join us Saturday, June 22 at 8am for a morning hike on the Los Penasquitos Canyon Trail. We will hike 6 miles on a loop trail through the Penasqitos Canyon. This is generally considered an easy route and will take 2.5 hours to complete at a moderate pace. The trail will lead us to a peacefull waterfall which we will cross, provided conditions are ideal. Hiking poles will be useful for maintaining your balance as we step across 5-6 rocks that protrude from the shallow water. It is definitely a worthwhile venture. We will likely encounter many other hikers as well bikers and may even be rewarded with a deer sighting. You will find ample free parking at the Canyonside Community Park. The trailhead is at the far end of the park just beyond the baseball field. Feel free to bring your friends and family members. The more the merrier. Dogs are welome but must be on a leash at all times.Date: Saturday, June 22, 2024
