June 6, 2024 - Ivy + Happy Hour at Encinitas Biergarten
The Brown Club of San Diego is hosting the June Ivy+ Happy Hour at the Encinitas Biergarten. Join your Ivy+ alumni colleagues for an evening of networking and catching up. No need to RSVP, just turn up and mingle.
We will be collecting donations at the Ivy + Happy Hour for Sharia's Closet which provides free emergency clothing to local individuals and families who are faced with a crisis or financial hardship. Thanks to referrals from a wide network of schools and service agencies, community members in immediate need are uplifted by Sharia's Closet when it comes to self-esteem and self-identity. Sharia's Closet helps children attend school with confidence and provides professional attire for the workplace or interviews. Since 2013, Sharia's Closet has served almost 50,000 - a number that will only continue to grow with more than 70 individuals receiving support daily. Sharia's closet accepts the following donations:
- Women’s casual pants (all sizes)
- Women’s casual t-shirts and sweatshirts (all sizes)
- Casual shoes, sneakers, and work boots (all sizes)
- New underwear and socks (all sizes)
- Women’s dress (all sizes)
- Men’s casual pants and shorts (especially larger sizes: 36W and up)
- Men’s t-shirts and sweatshirts (all sizes)
- Casual shoes, sneakers, and work boots (all sizes)
- New or gently used winter jackets and sweaters
- New underwear and socks
- Men’s jackets (sizes 5x and 6x)
