HCSD Community Service Event with Sharia's Closet: Saturday, June 29, 2024, 1-3pm

On Saturday June 29th, for our next community service event, we're excited to partner with Sharia's Closet.
 

Sharia's Closet provides free emergency clothing to local individuals and families who are faced with a crisis or financial hardship. Thanks to referrals from a wide network of schools and service agencies, community members in immediate need are uplifted by Sharia's Closet when it comes to self-esteem and self-identity. Sharia's Closet helps children attend school with confidence and provides professional attire for the workplace or interviews. Since 2013, Sharia's Closet has served almost 50,000 - a number that will only continue to grow with more than 70 individuals receiving support daily. 

Volunteers will be processing the intake of donated goods. This can include such tasks as sorting & labeling donations, examining items for any defects, preparing defective items for proper disposal, cleaning shoes & accessories, restocking, etc.
