Harvard Partners with HandsOn San Diego to Make Patriotic Magnets for Military Families Sept. 11

To all of Harvard and Friends... Come out for a community service project for a fun event.

Please join us on September 11th, as we partner with HandsOn San Diego, to make sets of patriotic magnets for military families in Operation Homefront's Transitional Housing Village. Service members in this program have been medically discharged and are going through the transition process back into civilian life. This volunteer project will help brighten their homes while showing appreciation for their service while these veterans navigate through their transition.

We'll also be decorating bags that will be used to distribute toiletries to military families served by STEP (Support the Enlisted Project).

Date: Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019
Time: 6-8pm PT
Location: AleSmith 9990 AleSmith Court San Diego, CA 92126
Cost: A $10 minimum donation will be collected at the door to pay for materials. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
We'll also be collecting donations of deodorant, toothbrushes and travel size toothpaste, lotion and shampoo for the STEP program.
Attire: We'll be in the outdoor patio so layers of clothing may be needed.
This community service event is open to all ages and will count towards school volunteer hours.
