maritime-museum-family-day-san-diegoPirate Day at the Maritime

Join us for a pirate costume contest and scavenger hunt for children!

The Maritime Museum will be transformed into a mysterious ghostly pirate ship located aboard the historic 1898 Steam Ferry Berkeley. Children are invited to come in their favorite pirate costumes for a costume contest and to hear a real pirate talk about what it was like being a pirate back when the tall ships sailed the open oceans. The pirate will take the children on a scavenger hunt looking for the pirate booty. We will also have a private 45-minute tour boat ride in a pilot boat around San Diego Bay to learn about the history of San Diego. We will eat lunch on the top deck of the Berkeley while enjoying the beautiful views of San Diego bay. (Box lunches will be provided.) The Maritime Museum will be available for touring all day (included in price). If you have any questions, please contact Tiffany Mittal.
