Through workshops and presentations, attendees will learn about advocacy, whether it’s self advocacy or advocating for others, and they will interact with people who are already working to make STEM more inclusive.

 

When: October 8th, 2016 — 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Where: Francis Parker School – 6501 Linda Vista Road, San Diego, CA 92111

Who: High school students, parents, teachers, and mentors are all welcome.

Admission:  Free.

 

What’s Happening: The afternoon will begin with a keynote speech and audience questions. Attendees will be broken off into three groups that will each rotate through the three workshop presentations. Come prepared to participate in activities and insightful discussions during these workshops.
