Volunteer at the San Diego Food Bank!

Join us on Tuesday, April 12th in Miramar

Traditionally occuring during Harvard's Global Month of Service, the San Diego Food Bank event attracts the largest turn out of Harvard volunteers out of all of our annual community service activities.

In the past, we have gathered together as a group forming an assembly line to fill boxes with non-perishable food.  Other potential activities include: sorting donated items by checking expiration dates, condition and making sure all food meets acceptable criteria for distribution.  For the Emergency Food Assistance Program, bags of food are put together by volunteers.

Please join us in giving back to our community.  The San Diego Food Bank serves over 370,000 individuals and families each month who face the threat of hunger.

Casual attire is best.  Please refrain from wearing loose fitting clothing or jewelry, open-toed shoes, and sunglasses.  This volunteer opportunity is open to friends and family members six years of age or older with parental supervision.
