HCSD Volunteers at the San Diego Food Bank

April is Harvard's Global Month of Service and we're lining up events for you to participate and give back to the local community!

As the Harvard Club of San Diego's largest community service event each year, the San Diego Food Bank will welcome us again during Harvard's Global Month of Service on April 9th.  Last year, we split alumni into 2 groups.  Those with children focused on the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program while the remaining alumni packed boxes of non-perishable food for low-income Seniors in San Diego County by way of an assembly line.  You'll see two hours fly by as you volunteer alongside fellow alumni. The San Diego Food Bank relies on the efforts of more than 28,000 volunteers annually to serve an average of 320,000 individuals each month in San Diego County.  Please join us in giving back to our community.

Casual attire is best.  Please refrain from wearing loose fitting clothing or jewelry, open-toed shoes, and sunglasses.  This volunteer opportunity is open to family members six years of age or older.
