Over 95% of these habitat types are no longer in existence in our state. Many endangered plant, animal, bird and insect species call this area home and cannot survive elsewhere.

When: Saturday March 22nd, 2014 9am-12pm

Where: At the mouth of the San Diego River, Dog Beach in Ocean Beach

8 West to Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Right on Voltaire. Voltaire ends at the parking lot of Dog Beach.

Volunteers will meet in the grassy area just inside the Dog Beach parking lot in Ocean Beach at the western end of Voltaire Ave.

Activities to include a guided nature walk, invasive plant removal, native plant rescue, beach cleanup, trail maintenance, plant care and watering.

.

All ages are welcome even if you can’t stay to help us with the project. Volunteers 15 and under will require a parent be present while they volunteer.

Dress Code: Gardening clothes, closed-toed shoes, hat and sunscreen. All tools and supplies will be provided. 

Community service hours can be verified for those that need them.

Please note that light rain will not cancel this event.
