Edith Ramirez

Appointed by President Obama in 2010 as one of five members of the Federal Trade Commission, Commissioner Ramirez handles matters of national and global concern relating to consumer protection, privacy, data security, and competition policy. A California native, she is an honors graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, where she served as an editor of the Law Review. Commissioner Ramirez clerked for the Ninth Circuit, worked as a litigation partner at Quinn Emanuel, and is the former Director of Latino Outreach in California for the 2008 Obama Campaign.
