What: a free lunch

Where: UCSD Faculty Club Lounge

When: 11:45 am to 2:00 pm, June 16, 2017

Program:  The inimitable Henry Powell, speaking on Kevin Birmingham’s book, The Most Dangerous Book: the battle for James Joyce’s Ulysses.

And yes she said yes, there will be Guinness, burgundy, and gorgonzola,
possibly a surprise performance, and a singing of Love’s Old Sweet
Song
. We’ll have some fun. 

Bring your copy of Ulysses; the diehards can stay afterwards to read
favorite passages.

Space is limited to ~80 persons, so RSVP early!
