Craig Lambert is deputy editor at Harvard Magazine, where he has been a staff writer and editor since 1988. His work has appeared in many publications, including Sports Illustrated, Town & Country, and the New York Times.
His book MIND OVER WATER: Lessons on Life from the Art of Rowing (Houghton Mifflin) a personal meditation on his experience as an oarsman, appeared in 1998. Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, it remains in print in paperback and in German translation.

Topic: With many comic examples, the program shows how Harvard comedy writers revolutionized American humor, moving it from Carol Burnett to David Letterman. Starting with National Lampoon magazine, a cadre of sardonic Crimson minds brought us Saturday Night Live, Animal House, Letterman, The Simpsons, Conan O'Brien, Al Franken, and much more.

This will be an elegant evening featuring a champagne and wine reception, followed by a sunset dinner overlooking La Jolla and the Pacific Ocean and an outstanding presentation from Dr. Lambert. Members receive special discounts, as do couples and recent graduates. You can also purchase a table for 10 for a unique evening with your friends. We expect this event to sell out.
